NATIONAL INSTRUMENT 43-101 COMPLIANCE
GlobeStar Mining Corporation is committed to full compliance with the requirements of National Instrument 43-101 and companion documents, as well as the requirements of the TSX Venture Exchange.
Pulp preparation for all of GlobeStars Dominican Republic samples is done in the laboratory of Falconbridges Falcondo Complex in the town of Bonao. This laboratory is fully equipped and has the trained personnel and procedures to ensure consistent high quality results.
Sample preparation procedures are summarized as follows:
| Sample Type | Drying | Crushing | Disaggregation | -80 mesh fraction | -200 mesh fraction |
| Drill core | X | X | X | ||
| Rock samples | X | X | X | ||
| Soil samples | X | X | X | ||
| Stream samples | X | X | X |
The prepared pulps are collected from Falcondo and delivered by DHL courier to ALS Chemex Laboratories in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. At the ALS Chemex labs, the samples are analyzed for a suite of 34 elements using the ICP-MS method. Over-limit samples (>10,000 ppm) are re-assayed using the AA method. Gold is analyzed using a combination FA-AA method, which has a minimum detection limit of 5 ppb.
Analytical results are transmitted electronically to GlobeStars offices in Santo Domingo and Toronto and merged with the geological logs of the diamond drill holes. Paper copies of the certified assay sheets are also kept on file in Santo Domingo for reference.
The analyses are compiled into one of two MS Access databases, one for drilling data and the other for all other types of exploration samples. These tables are linked to the MapInfo + Encom Discover GIS software for plotting and mapping, which allows an initial plot to be made when new data are received to ensure that no samples have been lost or are otherwise unaccounted for.
GlobeStars quality control program requires the inclusion of duplicate and blank samples in each batch of samples submitted for assay. Standard samples are also included when submitting drill samples.
| Sample Type | Submission | Samples | Duplicates | Blanks | Standards | External |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Drill Core | 50 | 44 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| Rock | 50 | 44 | 2 | 2 | ||
| Soil | 50 | 44 | 2 | 2 | ||
| Stream | 50 | 44 | 2 | 2 |
Assays for a particular batch are automatically rejected if either of the standard assays is greater than three standard deviations away from the mean of the round robin assays used in producing the standard, or if the blank samples exceed a pre-set assay limit.
In addition to the quality control samples inserted by the GlobeStar staff, ALS Chemex has its own quality control procedures which include random duplicate and standard samples.
